WOW!!! Did we have an overwhelming rug show last year or what? We really love the enthusiasm generated by the dyed wool door prizes. While there will not be a special rug show door prize like that this year we do hope you remember how great it was too see so many rugs! Which rugs/s will you bring this year? We hope to see many new rugs. Its your show. Lets make it great! Everyone who brings in at least one rug will get an extra door prize ticket, eligible for the vendor door prizes. So get hooking, binding, steaming and finish those rugs, we want to see them in the show!

2014 Hook-In: We Hope it is Memorable - Here's How to Make it Meaningful
Every year our Guild has brought a creative element to the hook-in. We have had featured artists, rug swaps, challenge rugs and special exhibits. This year we are doing something very different. In an effort to give back for all that we are fortunate to have in this country we will have a raffle to benefit a very worthwhile charity. Our choice is Pets For Vets. www.pets-for-vets.com
TBRHG sincerely believes in the mission statement and goal of the Pets For Vets organization. Our country owes military veterans a debt of gratitude. Many brave soldiers return with physical and emotional injuries that make the transition to civilian life difficult. At the same time shelter animals deserve a second chance at life. Pets For Vets, with the help of professional animal trainers, pairs specially selected shelter animals with military veterans, matching their personalities, to help heal those wounds. There is no cost to the veteran. It is our earnest hope that this small effort will help recognize the efforts of our brave military.
*Below is just a sampling of the terrific items we received. All donations received were grouped together to create 25 highly desirable baskets for our raffle. Hundreds of raffle tickets were sold filling each ticket collection box. All 25 winners seemed thrilled with the prize they won. Even those who did not win were happy to be able to support the PETS For Vets organization.

Items will be on display during the hook in. Each item will have a corresponding box for you to place your raffle tickets in. You may buy as many raffle tickets as you wish. You can then place your tickets in the box or boxes of the prize or prizes you hope to win. The drawing for these prizes will be held in the afternoon. If you cannot stay the day please put your name on your tickets and give them to a friend to claim for you. We cannot mail any prizes. Arrangements must be made between you and your friend.

Tickets may be purchased as follows:
1 for $1, 6 for $5, 13 for $10 and 30 for $20 Raffle tickets will be available through out the day. Feel free to purchase as many tickets as you want, knowing that 100% of their price will go to Pets For Vets. With Veteran's Day following our Hook-in on November 11 it is our hope to make a very generous donation to this worthy cause.
