Because of the current and widespread weather disasters we feel compelled into action. We have decided to offer an opportunity for you to contribute to one of many disaster relief organizations. We have chosen to hold a raffle for Team Rubicon. Raffle tickets exclusively for this special prize will be sold during the Hook-in and you must be present to win. The prize for this raffle is valued at approximately $250-$275. Proceeds from this raffle will be sent to Team Rubicon. Please read their mission statement below and then visit their web site directly. We think you will agree this is a unique and worthwhile opportunity to give something back.
"Team Rubicon's primary mission is providing disaster relief to those affected by natural disasters, be they domestic or international. By pairing the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders, medical professionals, and technology solutions, Team Rubicon aims to provide the greatest service and impact possible."

Last year we raised over 900 lbs in non-perishable food donations. What a generous group of rug hookers! We have signed on again this year to help the Chester County Food Bank. Just like last year we are asking you to bring a non-perishable food donation. We only ask that you do NOT bring anything in a glass container. You may bring one or more items. For each item you bring you will receive one extra door prize tickets. Thanks in advance for your generosity. Lets see if we can break the 1000 pound mark this year!l Below are the special door prizes you could win. There are several generous packages of wool. Each packages comtains a variety of off the bolt wool.
Hooked Rug Museum of North America Gift Mat Info
Hook a small mat for the gift shop of the Hooked Rug Museum of North America. The only museum of its kind dedicated to rug hooking. Your mat is a gift and will to be sold in their shop to help raise funds to support the museum. Below are some images with a link to download a small pattern. there is also a release form that must be filled out, signed and included with your gift mat. Consider these patterns a starting point. You are free to design and hook a mat of your choosing. The museum has requested mats be of a sea, ocean, or maritime theme. Because of the museum's location these subjects will sell well. The mats should be small, 8 x 8 is a good size as it it can be hooked quickly and sold at an appealing price point to tourists. The first file is the agreement and the other three are files containing multiple images, not all visible below. Your completed mat should be brought to the hook-in where arrangements will be made to send it to the museum. Don't forget to include the signed gift agreement.
